Helping International Drivers pass their Australian Driving Test (VORT) and convert to an Australian Licence.
Driving lessons resume 9th June 2020
Driving instructor lessons are part of Step 2 on the COVID 19 road to recovery starting Friday June 5th 2020 as announced by the Government of South Australia.
The Drive Smart Instructor Team will be back on the road from Tuesday 9th June 2020.
We will have COVID-Safe Hygiene protocols in place including wiping down contact surfaces between lessons and disinfecting the cabin daily.
We ask that all clients help everyone to stay safe by washing hands immediately before and after lessons. We also strongly encourage everyone to download the COVID-Safe App. This means we will quickly know if any clients or instructors have been in contact with someone who contracts the virus.
Until we can get back on the road, check out our Driving Lesson Tips at Drive Smart Driving School on YouTube.
DPTI have advised they will extend the 3 month Temporary Permit period for the purposed of attempting the VORT (Driving Test) and converting directly to Australian Full Licence.
Driving lessons then VORT Test for International Drivers
Book a Driving Review with a qualified driving instructor to find out if you are ready to pass your Driving Test.
During the Driving Review the instructor will observe your current driving skills then help you make any changes needed to pass the Test.
Once the review is completed, you can choose to have further lessons if needed.
If your skills are excellent and you need no further lessons, you instructor will help you book your Driving Test (VORT) with a qualified Driving Examiner.
Australian licence practical driving test (VORT)
Experienced International Drivers are advised to choose the VORT Test method to convert to Australian licence.
Quality driving lessons with a driving instructor is the best way to pass the Test. You will learn Australian Road Rules and System of Car Control plus U Turns, Three Point Turns and the Parking skills necessary to pass the Test.
CBT&A course for Learner Drivers
The CBT&A course is designed for less experienced drivers who are moving from Learner permit to P Plates and then to Full Licence through the Graduated License Scheme.
Overseas drivers who are learning to drive for the first time on an Australian Learner Permit can choose CBT&A or VORT licensing method. We will help you decide which is best you.
