Driving lesson prices include quality training by qualified driving instructors. Driving lessons and courses are structured to offer you best value and opportunity to learn well.
Instructors give feedback at the end of each session so you know what to practice between lessons. They keep notes regarding your progress and are always well prepared for your next driving lesson making sure you will get the most out of your time with us.
All lesson fees include access to the Drive Smart video library of driving lessons and tips.
Specialised Driver Training Services
Specialised Service fees include:
Specialist Driving Instructor with experience and training above and beyond that of a regular instructor.
Use of Trainer’s vehicle – Modifications fitted where required.
Liaison with Occupational Therapy and Support Team members if needed.
Basic Progress Reports where requested.
Driving Lesson or Assessment Prices
60 minutes $140.00 (+ GST $154.00)
90 minutes $210.00 (+ GST $231.00)
120 minutes $280.00 (+ GST $308.00)
Booking and Travel Fees Apply (Except Drive Smart Driving School Tranmere).
A $35.00 Booking fee will apply for all lessons or assessments requiring up to 20 minutes travel from the Instructors operating base.
Where more than 20 minutes travel is required, the Booking fee is replaced by a Return Travel fee at the rate of $140.00 (+ GST $154.00) per hour charged in 30 minute blocks.
Travel times are calculated using Google Maps estimated travel times from Instructor’s operating base in Brahma Lodge SA.

CBT&A Task 30 Final Drive (P’s) Assessment and Support session $338.00 (inc GST)
Includes up to 2 hours support; pick up and return home; opportunity for re-training and re-assessment (if required) plus all Booking Fees
High Level Specialised Driver Training (Eg. Drive From Wheel Chair) $200.00 (+ GST $220.00) per hour
Plus High Level Vehicle Hire $200.00 (+ GST $220.00) per session (where applicable)
Plus applicable booking or travel fees as listed above
Research / Development / Consultation / Report Writing $140.00 (+ GST $154.00) per hour
NDIS Participant Information
Drive Smart Driving School are NOT a registered NDIS service provider however we continue to help many Self Managed or Plan Managed NDIS Participants with Specialised Driver Training Supports to get their Licence.
Cancellation Policy and Fees
Please give more than 48 hours notice to avoid a cancellation fee.
- Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours notice – 50% of scheduled fee applies
- Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or not attended – 90% of scheduled fee applies
Cancellation fees are payable prior to the commencement of any further lessons.
